The dudes at CAN.com.sg feel that it is so important to be STREETWISE in Singapore that they've re-launched the location-based lifestyle portal and promise that they'll comb the streets of Singapore to let you in on the best deals, hottest places, newest attractions and much more.

Besides providing an upgraded interactive online map of Singapore, the revamped portal claimed to have placed diligently researched content and compilations within quick and easy reach of visitors. The portal now also bears a new look and brand new sections called 'Streetwise', 'Map Finder' and 'Good stuff'.

Big Search 2003, an island-wide treasure hunt that promises loads of fun and very attractive prizes has been organized in conjunction with the launch of the revamped portal. This year's hunt presents an online search and a physical location search, both offering attractive prizes in cash and products worth S$100,000 in total. Participants also stand a chance to win a Peugeot 206.

The Online Search involves retrieving clues and identifying locations of source codes embedded in interactive maps on can.com.sg, while the Location Search will set Singaporeans scouring the island for silver cans hidden in public places.

The location hunt will take place from 5 to 6 April and from 12 to 13 April. On each day, seven silver cans each containing a $1000 cash prize or a product prize will be hidden somewhere in Singapore. Participants can check for clues online and use them to locate the cans. The first participant to find the hidden can and register the win online with the correct source code and location wins the prize.

Apart from map searches and some generic information, access to can.com.sg is only open to members. The portal offers a choice of 2 membership categories - classic and premium - each with its set of privileges to suit different needs.

Can.com.sg is at http://www.can.com.sg
